Congratulations on your Graduation from Oxon Hill High School
My thoughts and prayers are with you as you graduate. I want to thank you for your contribution to our rookie robotics team this year. Your participation, however great or small, has helped to positively impact the Oxon Hill High School and the community around us.
I think you know by now that this experience was about more than building a robot! I believe that our collective vision and goal to transform the Oxon Hill community, the culture of Prince George’s County Public Schools and the nation, and to recognize heroes in science and technology will generate benefits for many years to come.
Don’t forget about us! Keep in touch, come back and see how the team is doing when you get a chance, especially over winter break. If you are local, you can join as a mentor or volunteer, but don’t take on too much during your first year of college!
I have just one request of each of you … During the FRC Kickoff this year, Dean Kamen offered a homework assignment to every student – to assist FIRST in building both a current participant and alumni participant database for FIRST.
Please take a few minutes to REGISTER at: http://FIRSTCommunity.usfirst.org. The goal is to get all FIRST current Team Members and Alumni to register, including Teachers, Mentors, Coaches, and Volunteers!
Take care,
Denise M. Lewis
