Hey, everyone! There's an amazing opportunity that has presented itself. Let's not pass this up!

"ANNOUNCEMENT

“Golden Opportunity”

Would your team like to attend an event where you can practice a new team on your robot for free and at the same time solicit new sponsors? This opportunity is open to the first 15 teams that register their intent!

NASA is having a large convention at the Baltimore Convention Center and Rob Thate has opened an invitation for teams to participate in an off-season event for free. The purpose of hosting the event at the NASA convention is primarily to educate the greater NASA community about FIRST robotics.

The event will be conducted on May 30, with setup for teams starting at about 7 AM. Teams will compete and be recognized for their accomplishments. Teams attending will be asked to setup complete pit displays and must be prepared to talk about their team and FIRST to potential sponsors, mentors and participants!

Team Dynamite exhibited at the FIRST booth during the annual American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE) Conference. The event took place at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, National Harbor, MD. Team Dynamite members has the opportunity to speak to naval engineers about their hands-on experience in solving the "Lunacy" challenge and working with mentors from the community.

Team Dynamite members served as science fair judges and introduced FIRST LEGO League robotics to the students attending the Maryland International Day School. The team brought their VEX robots and a LEGO Mindstorms NXT robot to share.

Congratulations to Team Dynamite - Winner of the Rookie Inspiration Award at the DC Regional Competition (February 26-28, 2009). The Rookie Inspiration Award celebrates a rookie team for outstanding effort as a FIRST team in community outreach
and recruiting students to engineering.

Many thanks to FRC Team #1885 of Battlefield High School in Haymarket, VA for inviting us to their school for the day. We learned a lot and had a great time! Thank you for sharing your expertise, machine shop, materials and lunch with us. This is what gracious professionalism is all about.
